Kazi-Soft

Mobile app development in Mali

In Mali, the phone is often the company's only screen. A successful mobile app is not a copy of a website: it is designed for a mid-range Android phone, an irregular connection and users in a hurry. Kazi-Soft designs them in Bamako.

What we know how to do

Each of these points is already in service in one of our applications:

  • Android: GerèTout and the Kazi app are Android applications.
  • Working offline, with synchronisation when the network returns: that is how Tabalé works.
  • A web app installable from the browser, without going through a store: Tabalé again.
  • A back office to run the business, with a screen per role.
  • Reports and reminders sent on WhatsApp, where users already are.
  • Tracking of Orange Money and Moov Money receipts alongside cash and bank.

Android, iPhone or web app?

We generally start with Android, the most widespread system in Mali, then extend to iPhone if your audience asks for it.

A web app installable from the browser avoids the store and updates itself. We tell you frankly which one is enough, because the second generally costs less.

Mobile payment

Our software already tracks receipts by Orange Money and Moov Money. Direct payment from inside the app depends on the access granted by the operator: we study it case by case, before promising it to you.

What we plan from the start

The points that make the difference between an app that is used and an app that is uninstalled:

  • A small size, for phones with little storage.
  • Simple screens, usable with one hand.
  • Data protection: PIN code, fingerprint, or local-only storage.

How much does it cost?

Ready-made software has a public price: Compta++, for example, costs 7,500 FCFA per month (about €11), all modules included, after a 30-day free trial. For custom software, the price depends on the scope: number of modules, users, devices and integrations.

Frequently asked questions

Do you build for Android and for iPhone?

Yes. We generally start with Android, the most widespread system in Mali, then extend to iPhone if your audience asks for it.

Can the app work without internet?

Yes, it is an option in the estimator. We have already delivered apps that work offline and synchronise afterwards.

Does the app have to be published on the Play Store?

Not necessarily. An app can be installed from a file or from the browser. The store becomes useful when you target the general public.

Can users pay by Orange Money in the app?

Tracking mobile money receipts is already in our software. Direct payment depends on the operator's access and is studied case by case.
